Job Description:
Seeking a Reading Interventionist for 23-24 or 24-25 school year Salary:
56,000-80,000 A reading interventionist typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
Observing students in their natural environments to gather information about their behavior, interests, and needs Conducting assessments of students' academic skills to determine their needs, such as in reading comprehension, basic mathematics skills, or writing ability Creating individualized lesson plans that are tailored to meet each student's specific needs Providing one-on-one tutoring to students who need extra help with their schoolwork Communicating regularly with teachers and parents about student progress Helping students learn to read by using methods such as phonics and teaching them about the structure of language and how it impacts comprehension Conducting group instruction in reading for students who have similar needs Providing enrichment activities or remedial instruction in reading skills such as phonics or fluency exercises Developing intervention plans for students using a variety of educational strategies, materials, and methods to help them improve their reading skills NJ K-6 or P-3 Certification Required.
Wilson Reading certification preferred.
Minimum of three years of job related experience i.
e, teacher, reading teacher/reading specialist.
Masters preferred.
